Today we didn’t have school. Instead, we went on a small walking trip to the Casa de India, to learn about different religions and nationalities in Spain. To get there, we went through the park again and we got to see the animals.

The Casa de India was very interesting. It was kind of like a museum and we got to walk through it and look at different artifacts. Then a lady from India came out and talked to us about the different languages and cultures used in Spain. She asked for anyone who knows a different language to come up and say something to the group. It was very interesting. Then she took out some traditional clothing and helped some people in the audience to put them on. They were very pretty. After that, we all went outside where she taught us how to dance and gave us some very good chai tea and cookies. It was pretty cool.

We went back to my host family’s house and went to the pool for a little and then got ready to go back to the school where they had a latin dance workshop for us. It was suuuper fun! We did some latin dancing and then after the instructor had to leave, the Americans taught the Spanish kids our common dances like cotton eyed joe and they taught us some too.

Later we had CROQUETAS for dinner! I love croquetas. They are amazing. And María made carrot cake for dessert. It was all so good. :)

That night was sooo hot so around 10 or 11 when it was dark, we all went to the pool and had a night swim. It was so much fun!!
